Free Pre-Checks & Re-Testing
We believe in making CARB compliance as easy as possible. That’s why we offer:
Free Pre-Check
Not sure if your truck will pass? We’ll review your emissions system before the official test to catch potential issues early.
Free Re-Testing
If your truck fails, we don’t charge for a re-test after repairs. We’ll make sure you pass before submitting your compliance certification.
Diesel Testing Services That Keep Your Truck Legal
Heavy trucks in California must pass strict emission rules. Clean Truck Check is a provider of uncomplicated CARB truck testing in order to help drivers remain compliant and keep their trucks on the road.
Emissions Testing for Older Diesel Trucks
A diesel smoke opacity test is required on many trucks prior to the year 2013. This test is to test the quantity of exhaust smoke.
Our team runs a fast CARB emissions test using approved tools. Results are clear and recorded for state compliance. If a truck fails, guidance for repair and retesting is provided.
OBD Testing for 2013 and Newer Trucks
Modern trucks use onboard computers. These trucks need an OBD emissions test instead of smoke testing.
Technicians scan the system to read emission data. The test verifies that sensors, filters, and emission controls are working correctly.
Fleet Compliance Support
Fleet managers often track many trucks. Our fleet compliance services help manage testing schedules, records, and reports required by the Clean Truck Check program.
Clear testing, reliable records, and steady support. Clean Truck Check helps truck owners and fleets stay ready for CARB rules while keeping diesel vehicles moving across California roads.
Emissions Testing for
2012 & Older Diesel Engines
Heavy-duty diesel trucks model year 2012 and older must pass emissions testing under CARB’s Clean Truck Check program. Since these vehicles lack OBD systems, testing is performed using smoke opacity testing and visual inspections.
What's Included?
Smoke Opacity Testing
Measures particulate emissions (PM)
Visual Inspection
Confirms emissions control components are present and functional
Mobile & Onsite Testing
We test at your location or one of our facilities
Repairs & recalibrations to fix compliance failures
Who Needs This Test?
Any 2012 or older diesel truck operating in California without an OBD system.

Semi-annual (twice per year) as required by CARB
Emissions Testing for
2013 & Newer Diesel Engines
For 2013 and newer diesel trucks, CARB requires On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) testing to monitor emissions performance. These vehicles have built-in OBD systems, allowing for digital emissions monitoring instead of relying solely on smoke opacity testing.
What's Included?
OBD System Scan
Reads emissions data to detect compliance issues
Smoke Opacity Testing (If required)
Ensures exhaust emissions remain within
CARB’s limits
Mobile & Onsite Testing
We test at your location or one of our facilities
